Jenny Dalton plays the Turf 1/21
by Kate Iverson on Jan.21, 2011, under Family & Kids, Style & Nightlife
Indie songstress Jenny Dalton is one of those whimsical women who could enchant you over a yoga class, chat your
ear off about Camus and Twin Peaks, whip up a homegrown port-town poem or enlighten your life with a bit of tarot reading, all in one setting. Perfecting the genre of new-age-meets-folk, Dalton’s latest full-length revisits the water element themes present in her first book, Daughters of the Dead, and adds a collage of eclectic influences including ghosts, the 35W bridge collapse, mermaids and even the Morton Salt Girl. Don’t miss the singer/songwriter perform tonight with live sets from experimentalists, the Original Mark Edwards Band; indie rockers, Canon Chorus; and Americana folkster, Brianna Lane. Doors at 9pm and the event is 21+ with a $5 cover. For more info visit www.turfclub.net. -Juleana Enright
