Thursday: Fresh & Fabulous Fun at w7 Collective
What: Celebrate your Cinco de Mayo this Thursday with a grab bag of boutiques and local design people at the Pilney Building. Friday: Clothes Have Dreams Too
What: It’s thrifting with a twist! Local used lady’s clothing shop Express Yourself Clothing has gathered together 15 MN-centric design folk to hit the runway with a reused and revamped look from one of their racks. Friday evening at the St. Paul-ian dancer’s studio turned catwalk, feast your eyes on newly redesigned looks from some recent U of M design grads such as Leslie Randall, Heather King, Niki English, Kathryn Sterner, Elise Diebel and more. Friday-Sunday: Cheap Chotchke Pop-Up Shop
What: Getting in the garage sale spirit, say hello to Cheap Chotchke – a pop up shop all about farm fresh, folky, refurbished goods. Taking place at the Carleton lofts all weekend, pop in to their shop to scrounge and sift through mounds of hand-picked, homey goodness, including unique bejeweled finds Vintage City Classics as well as old dictionary and historic movie poster inspired print images from Shy Kids Ink Clothing. Saturday: Flirt’s 3rd Birthday Party
What: When we think of Flirt Boutique’s birthday, we’re picturing tons of swanky lingerie, bottles of bubbly and a Marilyn Monroe birthday song. We were totally right. For their big three-year bash, the bra and panty house is celebrating with birthday cake, sparkling wine and freebies.
