This weekend, the W7 Collective Social returns to the historic Pilney Building with a new roster of designers and artisans, and the bi-annual St. Paul Art Crawl takes over the Lowertown Arts District with tons of studio openings and special events.

Thursday-Saturday: W7 Social at Pilney Building
What: This weekend, the artist collective W7 are bringing together local fashion, independent art and design, and tons of other pretty things to kick off fall right. The historic Pilsney Building will serve as a gallery as well as a gathering space for tons of art enthusiasts this Friday through Saturday. Now is your chance to peruse collections from dapper gentleman-wear by Freedom From Doubt, to custom crocheted goodness from Attagirl by Kedrin, to cutesy totes and purses from Louise Bags and Totes. Friday-Sunday: Fall Lowertown Art Crawl
What: Head to St. Paul’s bustling Lowertown Arts District this weekend for its annual fall art crawl. The district’s various studios, warehouses, art lofts, galleries will host open studios, art openings and other cool events – like the pretty guitar pickings of local folk musicians and even a performance from a Laptop Marching Band. We suggest hitting up Kara Hendershot’s opening at her Northern Warehouse studio (#516) for her latest batch of colorful paintings, illustrations and t-shirt designs; the studio of artits Lauryn Buda and Genevieve Mariani at The Tilsner; and the “Mad Science” opening at Carleton Place Lofts featuring graphic novel-esque art and monster plushies by Tim Monsters, Buttermilk and Tiffokne. -Jahna Peloquin (Pictured: Painting by Kara Hendershot)
