St. Paul Halloween Party Guide

With Halloween falling on a Sunday this year, it’s a bona fide Halloweekend, with three full nights of Halloween-themed parties and shows. Here’s a rundown of what’s going down in the capital city.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 29:

Spooky Boobies Halloween Burlesque
Station 4 hosts the Spooky Boobies Halloween Burlesque Extravaganza. The evening of burlesque, boylesque, comedy, magic and music features Tomahawk Tassels, Opium Hayze, Abbie Rhode, Musette and many more. On the sad news that it will be closing its doors due to light rail construction after this weekend, GLBT Dance club Rumours & Innuendo won’t be going out without a bang. BareBones' "Carnetheria"
The 17th annual BareBones Halloween Outdoor Puppet Extravaganza has become a cult favorite. The nonprofit collective BareBones have a cast and crew upwards of 150 for their annual Halloween show, titled “Carnetheria.” Expect the usual larger-than-life papier-mâché puppets, shadow puppets, costumes, masks, stilt-walking, a live orchestra and more for this year’s production. SATURDAY, OCTOBER 30:

Following the opening night of the Rossini’s “Cinderella” at the Minnesota Opera, head to its Masquerade Ball after party. Sponsored by l’etoile magazine and Tempo, the Minnesota Opera’s young patrons group, includes a royal photo booth, cast party, food and drink, DJs, costume prizes, and free mask-making supplies. The third annual Lowertown Boo’s Crawl takes place in eight different bars and restaurants throughout St. Paul’s Lowertown district. A pass gets you a free drink at each location, including the Bulldog, Senor Wong, Black Dog Café, Rumours & Innuendo (which is having its closing weekend), Barrio, Trattoria da Vinci, Station 4 and Hat Trick Lounge, plus $2,000 in cash prizes. $100 drawings will take place at each bar on the hour.
