With MNfashion Week kicking off early this weekend, it’s no surprise there happen to be a ton of stylish events happening in St. Paul this week. After all, Minneapolis isn’t the only Twin City with a happening fashion scene.

A. Michele helps make Selby & Snelling St. Paul’s hottest shopping district

A. Michele Boutique

A. Michele Boutique

In 2006, Amy Michelle Mullen set out to create her own boutique, styled after her love for all things romantic and vintage, with a dash of rock ‘n roll flair. Two years later, her dream became a reality when she opened the doors to her quaint, feminine shop A. Michele at Selby and Snelling, cementing that intersection’s reputation for being one of the city’s best shopping locales. Her shop carries a mix of feminine fashions, including Ruby Pearl slip dresses (which are made from vintage slips and silk scarves), fitted jackets, silk blouses, jewelry, oversized bags, gifts and more.

Midwest Vintage Clothing, Jewelry & Textile Show in review

by Jahna Peloquin on Jul.11, 2009, under Style & Nightlife

Last weekend, I put on my best vintage dress and, with local fashion designer Max Lohrbach in tow, traipsed over to the Midwest Vintage Clothing, Jewelry and Textile Show at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in St. Paul. The annual event is a traveling show of all things vintage from the best vendors in the U.S., and people from all over the country congregate to the Midwest for a show you can’t find on the coasts.
